The Short Story Advent Calendar returned in 2016, with another grab bag of outstanding stories to help ring in the holiday season.
For readers, the daily routine remained the same—crack open new story, read it, report to the website for an exclusive Q&A with the author—but a new squadron of authors and a completely revamped, wrapping paper–themed design kept the experience feeling fresh and unpredictable.
This was also the first year the SSAC was available for sale at select independent booksellers, in addition to the H&O website.
